About Pathocyte

Welcome to Pathocyte — your online companion for mastering Pathology.

What is Pathocyte?

Pathocyte is a growing collection of Pathology notes, question banks, and case discussions designed to help medical students simplify their exam preparations and to assist pathologists in everyday practice.

Why This Website?

Pathocyte was created to fill the gap between simplified textbook notes and real-world pathology cases. This site aims to:

  • Provide structured notes for undergraduate students.
  • Share interesting cases from day-to-day pathology practice.
  • Collect and curate mnemonics and memory aids.
  • Help both students and pathologists with reporting formats and common doubts.

What You’ll Find Here:

  • Concise, exam-oriented Pathology notes
  • System-wise coverage of General & Systemic Pathology
  • Question banks for university exams
  • Reporting formats for histopathology and cytology
  • Case discussions for postgraduate learning
  • Rambles and Reflections (random thoughts on life, football, and whatever crosses my mind)

Who Am I?

Hi, I’m Nabeel — a former Army Medical Corps officer, now a practicing pathologist and undergrad teacher in a medical college. When I’m not buried under slides and reports, you’ll probably find me watching football, playing chess, cycling to nowhere in particular, playing games on my Xbox, or reading books on my Kindle.

Pathocyte is a way of blending my love for teaching with my long-time dream of building something useful. The name combines Patho- (from pathos — disease) with -cyte (cell) — also a little wordplay on ‘site’ for a website.

The logo is a cartoon version of a macrophage, happily gobbling up knowledge — or whatever comes its way. The blue and pink colors represent hematoxylin and eosin, the iconic stains of every pathology lab.

I hope you find something helpful here, and if you do — don’t forget to pass it on!
